Webers love Halloween!! Jake likes that he can be all gross and scare all the kids, I love all the fun and creativity, and the kids love to dress up and of course, get candy! Only this year, I was pretty lacking on the creativity - the only costume I made was Reco's. :)
Nathan had decided he wanted to be a wizard and Livy a vampire, easy enough. We spent an afternoon at a costume shop, and so a hat, wand, vampire dress, and a set of fake teeth later - Nathan and Livy had costumes. Elle had decided on Jessie from Toy Story way back in the summer when we went to see the 3rd movie for her cousin Gwen's birthday and she showed up in full Jessie costume for the party! Well, thanks Gwen for sharing the Jessie outfit with us - Elle loved it! And she made a pretty cute Jessie too, if I do say so myself - complete with her own natural freckle-speckled cheeks and long strawberry-blond braid. J.D. had been given a Spiderman cape and hood from my mom that he has practically lived in since then, so his costume was a no-brainer - "Spi-her-man" (as he calls him) was it! Talk about piece of cake for mom! Jake wore his usual scary guy skeleton mask and cape - and the "kids" took off for trick-or-treating. I dressed Reco up so he could go with them, but it was a rainy night and with his ears taped up, he can't really get them wet, so he stayed home with me to pass out candy.
So, a bunch of pictures:
Here is Jake in his "scary guy" costume passing out candy while the kids get ready to go trick-or-treating.
Nathan the wizard -
Elle as Jessie (in her best "Jessie-doll" pose) -
And then there's J.D. as our own little version of Spiderman.
Let me explain - he decided that the pictures he wanted in his costume were of him trying to "fly up", so this is him jumping off the stairs -

and then of course the subsequent landing -
and then of course the subsequent landing -
After several launchings, he finally let me take a picture of him in his costume standing still -
Super cute kiddos!
